Advancing Connectivity and Sustainability in the Central African Republic

Since 2019, Communication & Renewable Energy Infrastructure (CREI) has been a trusted partner of Orange Centrafrique, delivering reliable and sustainable power solutions to its telecom network across the Central African Republic (CAR). Managing over 180 sites, CREI has played a pivotal role in Orange's success, achieving an impressive average power availability of more than 99.99% across its network. Expanding Rural Connectivity with Solar Solutions

A key priority for Orange Centrafrique is reaching underserved rural communities. Through CREI’s deployment of advanced solar energy systems, Orange Centrafrique has expanded its coverage into remote areas, providing residents with reliable mobile and internet services. These initiatives not only strengthen digital inclusion but also stimulate economic growth by unlocking new opportunities for communication and commerce in these regions.

Supporting Digital Transformation

In a historic development, Orange Centrafrique recently secured the first-ever 4G license in the country, granted by the Ministry of Digital Economy, Posts, and Telecommunications. This milestone marks a significant leap forward for CAR’s telecommunications sector, ushering in high-speed connectivity and advanced digital services.

Max Francisco, General Director of Orange Centrafrique, stated: “Access to 4G represents a significant step forward for the people of Central African Republic and responds to a growing demand for connectivity. We are committed to providing a quality, reliable, and accessible network for all users, in all regions of the country.”

As Orange Centrafrique advances its digital transformation goals, CREI remains committed to supporting this vision. Together, the partnership continues to pave the way for a more connected, sustainable, and inclusive future in the Central African Republic.
