News: TAWAL to deploy neutral host infrastructure at SEVEN venues

The towerco will enahnce connectivity at 21 Saudi Entertainment Ventures

TAWAL has entered into a strategic agreement with Saudi Entertainment Ventures (SEVEN) to buld neutral host telecommunications network infrastructure across 21 SEVEN destinations in Saudi Arabia. The agreement includes the design, management, operation, and maintenance of a neutral infrastructure by TAWAL which can be used by all mobile operators. No financial details have been disclosed yet.

The infrastructure will feature indoor coverage systems (IBS), multi-band antenna distribution systems (DAS), and towers in 14 cities across the Kingdom. The infrastructure will enhance the capabilities of 4G and 5G networks, support the Internet of Things (IoT) applications, and enable advanced ICT services improving the experience for SEVEN visitors.

SEVEN, part of Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC), a wholly owned Public Investment Fund (PIF) entity, has said it aims to redefine the concept of entertainment in the Kingdom and has invested SAR 50bn (EUR 12bn) in building and developing theme parks and entertainment destinations.
