2019: CALA reshaping between new means of collaboration and enhanced operational focus
TowerXchange has been exploring the dynamics of CALA towers since 2014. Back then, the focus was predominantly on the SLBs taking place in key markets such as Brazil and Mexico, with early activities across the Andean region and Central America. Since then, towercos have expanded towards unchartered territories in Argentina, the Caribbean, Bolivia and Paraguay and now own around 60% of CALA towers.
MNOs have also started to divest their fibre portfolios and are contributing to the shift in paradigm from towercos to infracos. To further streamline their operations, MNOs are pushing towercos to go beyond steel and grass and get involved in operational aspects, especially in the energy field. An unprecedented change that could completely revolutionise the way CALA towercos operate.
In light of the above, and the many more changes occurring in the sector, we are gearing up for the sixth edition of the TowerXchange Meetup Americas, where top executives from across the regional infrastructure sector will gather to interact, network and create new business opportunities.
While TowerXchange continues its ongoing efforts to report on the evolution of the market with updated analyses and interviews, we are looking forward to the next edition of the TowerXchange Meetup Americas, which will be held in Boca Raton, 9-10 July 2019.
We limit the number of TowerXchange Meetup attendees in order to protect the networking experience at our unique roundtable sessions. With only 270 passes available for 2019, we recommend you don’t miss out and stay tuned for more information regarding the sixth edition of the TowerXchange Meetup Americas.
A full access pass to the TowerXchange Meetup includes access to the plenary conference sessions, to the roundtables, and to the curated exhibition of proven passive infrastructure solutions.
